Do you guys think a T145/90D16 fit the SC? It is the spare off an Inifiniti G. Thanks for the input!

This is a spacesaver spare. You do not want to drive cross country with it on the car, just to the nearest tire repair shop to get your real wheel/tire fixed or replaced. Personally, I hope I never have to use it but if I do, I know that I can put this on the car and get off the highway or road in one piece and to a repair shop.

I tried one Infinity 16" spare on the SC430 and it did not clear the brakes in the front. It was fine for the back.Anyone want to buy it?

Great solution!! Thanks for sharing!

I love the fact that it is an alloy wheel instead of the Lexus steelies, lighter weight is awesome!

Anyone else buy this RX8 spare kit? I'm leaning toward it. Just not sure about the load factor being it is a bit thinner than the OEM spare.

Thanks

I bought it. Didn't have to to install it properly yet. Drove to LA for the weekend, so I jsut threw it in the trunk. But it looks like it should work fine

Thanks Jason702!
I thought the wheel was a lot better looking than the Lexus spare too! It sure is lighter too. Also with this kit , you can wrap the spare with the cover it comes with and things will not get dirty.

I just put another new tire on one of the spare wheels I have an yes it does intrude into the trunk but the only time I will use it is when I make some long interstate trips.........around town it sits in the garage where it will spend most of its life.

MAZDA wanted almost 450 bucks for a new set up with rim and tire.

Falcon 1 , You can go on EBAY and there are two vendors that are selling the kit for half that price.... It really is a sweet substitute...

Default newbie question

Just picked up a clean fairly low miles 02 last night so I'm new to the car and forum. Didn't some with a spare so I'm researching. The car has 18" tires - looks like the space saver spare & the RX option are 17" Is the size difference a problem? It looks is a 17" so maybe the space saver is a higher profile to make the height equal? Sorry if I'm asking a dumb question or this has been addressed elsewhere...

Has anyone tried to see if these will clear an upgraded big brake kit - from Brembo, StopTech, or Rotora? Thanks!

Welcome to CL
Best bet is to find a TTSupra temp. spare (donut) which does clear BBK and fits nicely in the spare-slot in your trunk. You can find them used for around $100-130.
