Default Sc430 Speaker Broken Sound On Bass

As we all know the Mark Levinson Sound System is a real gem I have recently noticed the drivers door speaker breaking up on bass songs. I made the purchase of the sound track of Borne Identity , great sounds from the movie with lots of bass and I do play it loud.

Has anyone had a failure of the speakers? Am I better off having them replaced with OEM units or aftermarket pieces? If the latter any recommendations on types/brand et al.

This is why I went to Henessy Lexus of ATL yesterday. To get my passenger side speakers replaced. About a month ago, I got my driver side replaced (all three) because I was seeing this symptom. Well I started noticing on my passenger side. Sure enough they replaced it under warranty and everything is how it should be. Why can't you replace them under your extended warranty? Any speakers (by I mean any reputable brand speakers) should be able to handle deep bass songs unless you play them at un-reasonable volume.

stock speakers are pretty low quality. since they're under warranty, it makes sense to stick with them. otherwise, you can get much higher quality after market speakers for the same price or less.

Agreed Jason, IF they were not under warranty no way would I have picked up the stock speakers........LEXUS should be ashamed of itself for putting crap into the ML head units output................Jap bean counters suck too.
