I have a 2004 Corvette with Z-51 and performance rear axle. Scary fast! Also a 2004 SC430. Great stereo, power hard-top, great ride (compared to the 'Vette).
If the garage caught on fire and I could only save one, they'd both burn because I'd just stand there trying to decide which one to save.![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I'm not sure 2005 would be the best year of production. The first year of a new model release typically has a number of bugs to work out. Personally, I'd go for the 2008 model. 30 more horsepower (36 more with the performance exhaust option) than the prior C6 models.
FWIW, I get a lot more looks in the SC than the 'Vette.

IMHO, this is so apples and oranges. One is a true sports car and a real marvel of American engineering. The other is a luxury car. The SC is like the Jaguar or Mercedes convertible, but nothing like the Vette, IMHO.

Agree, this is an apples to oranges comparison. To me, the SC is the classic touring machine. ...which is why I own mine. I just got back in from a 4 hour drive, rolling hills, 75 degrees outside, blue sky ...heaven on earth.

Yes, it's apples to oranges, the C6 is awesome value for performance & looks, I think it looks better than most exotic cars.
I won't want a soft top convertible corvette at all though, but I will consider a hardtop C6 IN ADDITION to the SC430
, not trade for one.
