Many of the parts on eBay are either used or not "official," (by the way, commas always go inside the quotes, once you get outside of England), so be careful about your purchases there.
They may be just plastic, but there is good plastic, such as the stuff of NFL helmets, and there is crappy plastic, such as those "jewel boxes" that CDs are sold in. The covers I have are made with some flexibility, and are not brittle, which is important on a part that can get some torque.
So "Carpe Diem," as we say. (Buyer Beware.)
No Lie.

To clarify, the dealer was offering a set of FOUR for $250. He said they retail now for $469. I am still debating on whether to purchase them. Incidently I would feel more comfortable just buying them at the dealer as opposed to EBAY, unless any of you can verify that the quality is "same" as dealer.

"unless any of you can verify that the quality is "same" as dealer."
We are not the eBay police. Buyers are the eBay police.
Nobody knows the quality of such an item except the seller. Ebay does not, of course, sell anything other than its listing services. Ebay is tool that sellers and buyers use to do their transactions.
Of course, you could ask the seller if the quality is the same.
No lie.

I have a set as my factory ones have some curb damage. I can't tell any difference in quality but they don't come with the Lexus Symbol on the center of the cap like factory ones do.
You just get a blank circle.

You still miss the point about eBay. Nobody has ever purchased wheels from eBay, only through eBay.
Each sale can be from a different seller; the product may be new, used, factory originals, knock offs, etc. So even if I told you that I bought a great set of these wheel covers on eBay last year or last month, or even last week, you could wind up getting something else entirely.
In other words, you are asking for information which has no useful value to you.

You can say that about any business. How to you know what is in the box from say a NAPA store is actually the quality they are claiming it is. How can you tell if it is rebuilt or new? You can't
How can you tell if the tires you buy over the internet are not "Blems"? You can't.
So you buy things off of ebay and you take your chances.
Go look at the people that have bought things from the seller in the feedback section and send them an email and see if they are happy with what they bought.

Also I am thinking more in terms of the Ebay Stores, where the seller tends to sell the same products over and over again. I also do believe that most readers on this site understand that Ebay is not a store itself but a means through which sellers can sell their stuff. Kinda obvious.

Even though I am super **** when it comes to rims (I have 18' BBS RS IIs on my BMW, Symbolic 20's on my Mercedes and 17' GS4 rims on my SC400), I am with one of those few who actually prefer the pie plates.
To me, the pie plate design complements the "roundness" of the SC430 very well and it does not look too "busy". While the Star pattern is a very good alternative from Lexus, it just doesn't look special in its own way.
I have to admit that when I first saw the pie plates on the brochure, they were not exactly good looking. However, the design slowly grew on me and now I like it!

Actually, "Caveat Emptor" means "Let the Buyer Beware," caveat being the subjunctive of a fourth declension verb. But jokes are never funny if they have to be explained.
