Default windshield replacement needed

I caught a glancing rock while passing a truck on the freeway in my '02 today and I need to have my cracked windshield replaced. I would appreciate any advice I can use when I interview a few different shops. Is this pretty easy to do by the experienced replacers? Does it have to say "Lexus" in the bottom left hand corner? I am told to two outfits that make the windshields for Lexus put their names in the corner.
Thanks!

Pearlpower is right on the money with his writeup! It is not an easy replacement and you definitely need to do your homework on your selection on who will replace it. Make sure they have done an SC430....As far as OEM VS Lexus Glass....I would go with Lexus every time. One thing that you have to consider is that the value of the car could be effected by the Non Lexus windshield. I have many friends that are in the car business and when they appraise a trade-in , if it is not stock, windshield included , they deduct value. Their reason is if you used non OEM parts there, what else have you done to the car. Not saying that the NON OEM glass is not as good as the Lexus glass but the car is a Lexus and that is what people come to expect when they buy one. My windshield cracked BIG time on the highway and I had to have it replaced by a local shop. I made an appointment with them and they were going to replace it in the parking lot at my work. I was surprised at this but said OK. I told them that I wanted an OEM Glass and they said NO PROBLEM, that is all we put in. So he gets to my work with the new glass and wants to start the job. I said that I want to check out the glass and he said fine. I went straight to the corner and found no Lexus stamp. I called him on it and his reply was that this is an OEM REPLACEMENT made by the same company that made the factory ones only it doesn't have Lexus on it. I said that I wanted the Lexus stamp on it and he said NO Problem but it may take a few days as it will have to come from the dealer. I said fine and they returned in two days. This time I had them come to my home and they replaced it in my two car garage. They also came with 3 guys to replace the glass, one was the manager! They did an awesome job with the replacement and I see no trace of damage anywhere. So I guess what I am trying to say is do your homework ,which it looks like you are doing, and know what you want for the replacement. Make sure you get what you ask for too! Good Luck!!!
