A forum member had previously posted a question that no one answered - I thought i'd bring it up again. In an SC 430 interior, what exactly is leather and what is vinyl? I have the Lexus leather cleaner and some Meguiar's interior detailer and I'm wondering where to use what.

Any thoughts?

I would have to take a closer look, but by memory: seats f/r (not the back of the seat), head rest f/r, center console, trim around center bezel, door handles, door insert.
I'm sure other will chime in.

Good question.

I went out to my 02 and concur withe Pearl...........one with a Porsche would have to pay another 3 grand for all that leather............

If this is right, only the tops of the center console and door armrests are leather (as well as the seats and headrests). They maintain the armrest and console sides, as well as the trim around the center bezel, are vinyl.

If that's the case the quality of the vinyl is amazing. I also have a Mercedes ML320 CDI with MBtex, and I don't think that stuff is anywhere near as nice as that in the Lexus. Perhaps it's more durable though.
