Default Can you mix tires on a sc430

A new owner of a 2006 sc430 asked me if he could replace his run flat tires that are on the rear of the car to michelin auto pilots. He still has a fair amount of tread on the front tires which are run flats but he would like to leave them on the front for the time being but he he needs to put new tires on the rears. He had a blow out on the front tire and bent a rim so one of the front runflats is pretty new and the other one is still good. He was told that he cant mix the two different tire types . I would appreciate some comments on the saftey of this

Not recommended, but yes, they can be mixed. The handling characteristics will be changed and probably not for the better as different rubber have various braking, handling, etc properties.
