Looking to change my tires... advice? (with pictures)
Hi,
I've got a 2006 lexus sc430. I notice that when I'm using tiptronic and trying to get the most out of my gas pedal, the cars tires (stock run flats) dont get that much grip out of the pavement. Plus, they're a gross bumpy ride.
Ive visited tirerack.com by the advice of my lexus dealer, but I cant quite decide which ones I should get. I'm looking for something that is good for speed/acceleration/handling. We dont get snow here in Vancouver very often, so thats not an issue... but it is pretty wet here probably 1/4 days a year, so handling in wet conditions should be good too. Price isnt an issue. So yeah, wondering which tires would be best.
Experiences? Ideas?

Michelin Primacy HP
For performance, safety and a bit of comfort, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 seems to be popular.
The Primacy HP is supposed to be even quieter and offer a more comfortable ride, with trade-off in ultimate performance.
Anyone has experience in them?

I replaced my Dunlop runflats with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires and am very pleased. I have no issues with driving in the rain (considerably better than the Dunlops) and the ride is night-and-day compared to the runflats.
We don't get a ton of snow here in the winter but, enough that All-Season (A/S) tires are a must instead of the PS2's (summer tires) that HKSC430 mentioned above.

After looking at post-it regarding wheel fitments, I would also like to consider going to slightly larger 19" wheel/tire sizing only for better looks. I do not want to sacrifice any ride quality. Southern location with some rain and no snow.
Any advice would be welcome.

also, if im not mistaken the stock tires are 19inch. Am I able to just order 20 inch michelin pilot sport ps2 and have the dealer put them on as is?
How will having 20 inch tires on it effect how the car drives?

A few tire other specs are width, sidewall height percentage, speed rating, etc.
