I would choose between Michelin or Goodyear F1. The Michelins have a tendancy to dryrot alot faster ,but have a comfortable ride. Goodyear F1's have a good wear and traction rating ,but it is real stiff on the road and you feel everything.

I have gone with 245 x 45 x 18 Bridgestone 960. They are MUCH better riding and quieter than the original Dunflops. I went with 245x45 all around instead of 245x40 thinking a little more sidewall would offer a slightly better ride. Using same size all around allows me to rotate all tires as necessary. My ride is now sedan like or better. This size also seems to fill the wheel well nicely. With this slightly larger tire, my speedometer is slow by 2 MPH. Tire Rack rates the Bridgstone 960 higher than Michelin, (difficult to believe) and the Bridgestone were $250 less for a higher rated tire. Gas mileage has dropped slightly also. I fail to understand why Lexus continues to use the well known, unsatisfactory, hard-riding Dunlop run flats.

Bridgestone 960 / Michelin Pilot tire update. As noted previously, I'm usually a Michelin man, however, this time I went with the Bridgestone 960 based upon #1 rating from Tire Rack. Shame on me for considering anything but Michelin. I have learned my lesson once again. Within 500 miles on Bridgestone installed by Discount Tire, I was back to rebalance the tires twice. Seems that the real problem was that 2 of the 4 Bridgestone tires were out-of-round. Discount Tire offered to replace the Bridgestones with new tires, however, I decided to switch all 4 to Michelin Pilot AS Plus. There is no substitute for the best. So far the Michelin's are great although there is a slightly detectable road noise if you listen real close. Discount Tire was easy to work with and highly recommended. If you can live with out-of-round tires you can save a few dollars with Bridgestones.
