buying a salvage sc430
hey guys, brand new to the forum..im buying a 06 salvage lexus sc 430..getting a good deal, it was involved in a front accident and needs a new bumper headlight fender and hood ..all which i can get..but i noticed that the dash board lights dont work , i know since it was in an accident it may have cut some wires, any one have an idea of which wires? and price? just to get a estimate of what im looking at worst case scenario, btw the navi radio and all other electric parts work, any thing else i should be looking for ? once again guys thanks

lextc08, I am not being facetious or trying to demean you but have you checked the fuses? One or more may not be either seated properly or have been damaged in the collision.
Depending on what the SC will cost to purchase and the amount you have to pay for replacement parts and labor, the SC just might be a good deal. Then too as has been stated, the costs involved could be much more than the car is worth.

I'd walk away from it. It's the unknown/hidden damage that will kill you.

Be sure that the air bag either did not deploy or has been replaced. You don't want to find out that there is an empty space where the air bag belongs when you have an impact.

If this is the car of which lextc08t was referring, then I don't think he as a fuse problem. He has much, much, much more to think about.
