I love it, in SP3 and 3rd gear car just wants to lurch forward. Its impossible to stay under 30mph driving in town.

Ive yet to try the other modes, but economy is not my thing

if it makes it more responsive, wouldn't it also improve acceleration?

Not necessarily, it reduces the lag time between when you smash the pedal and the car reacts. it might improve your reaction time if you were at a track, but it wouldn’t make the vehicle any faster, hp and tq never change.

Well not really cos lag is lag.

IE if your playing an online game even though your lagging it jumps to catch up. So at some point your at the correct point. Just you had a blip and then it rushes to catch up.

Where as the other players just go frame by frame smoothly. But all the players are going the same speed even the ones that are lagging, ie a lagging player cant then be faster then the others if he stopped lagging.

I know what you mean; I find myself backing off SP3 to SP2 more and more because it's too herky-jerky in traffic/slower speeds.

In that case it wii default to eco mode.

Either way I have to turn on the controller and I dont think mine is beeping. I did not notice any slats or opening in the back of the plastic controller case for the beep sound to get out. I do have it set flush on top of an old piece of rubber mouse pad . What was the model number of your blitz unit? My car is a 2005 . I like your tire set up with the pressure and temp setting . was it very expensive to buy and install

Buddy
A few seconds after you turn the ignition on, it does beep, not loud, but noticeable.

I am using the same one you are using.
According to the installer at ASAA Racing performance shop here in Houston, one of the plugs wouldn't go all the way into stock harness plug smoothly, so it needed a bit trimming to fit perfectly.

More info about the TPMS can be found on tirerack.com.
http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...09S.TPMS&ID=55
If you google it, you will find it also received some Japan RF certification.
You can disbale your stock TPMS and use this one instead when your stock sensors go bad.

I now only use sp1 most of the time and eco on highway.
Am I the only one here who has installed the reverse cancel harness?

I like the way it doesn't lag in reverse anymore. Does the reverse cancel just make the car act like stock regardless of what mode you have the throttle control set to?

i'm not sure if a video game is a good analogy. in a game, your character may keep moving while no information is sent back and forth between you and the server. when you reconnect, you will seemingly jump to wherever it is. in the real world, if there's a delay in information sent, you simply lose that time. so if this sends the information faster, you should gain whatever amount of time that delay is in your 0-60 time.

Excuse the noob question but does this device yield the same effect as activating the Sport button on the E46 M3?

Yes, that is exactly what the reverse cancel harness does.
The installation involves removing scuff plate, rear seat and rear trunk lining since you need to get the reverse signal from the fuse box in the rear trunk.
