Default Lexus SC430: gettin rid of??

thinking about trading my car in, should i? the reason why is i went to the dealer that my friend works at and he let me drive home a gs 350 and a rx 350 both used still new with about 3 to 4 thousand miles on them not at the same time. the first time i went there and picked up the rx 350 i loved it very smooth ride roomy, just a good vibe, the second time i took home the gs omg i felt like i was somebody important driving that car, roomy very smooth, and very sleak. the problem is i know my sc wont hold its value if i trade it in, plus thats my baby but i realy want something bigger. my sc has about 70k on it very mint which is now maybe worth about 24k. put your self in my place would you sell the car and get one of the above? if so which one. if not explain please help

If it's about space, obviously keeping the SC wouldn't be the right choice. My wife had an RX and we liked it very much, though sportiness and fuel-economy weren't high on the list (ours was AWD and sucked down the gas). The GS may be a better choice, since you get some sportiness, decent fuel-economy and a good amount of passenger and cargo space. My 2c.

Having just purchased an 02 sc430, I can say that it is not replaceable to me.
If you want space, just get an old awd van (like I have) for those times.

The sc is an amazing drive, quiet, smooth, rare, timeless, unique, and imho, and I think others here, the best looking car on the road; I think it should be in the Museum of Modern Art.

I will probably always have an sc430.

You can pick up an awd Town and Country van for $5000!

The SC is elegant. Eveything else is pedestrian.

The SC430 is elegant, unique & superbly built, I don't think I would ever want to sell it.

The GS and RX are both more practical cars but we SC owners are after beauty, elegance, style, aren't we? For that we are well served!

as an only car I could not live with just an sc430, you need a beater as well.

I think your question should be, "can you even get rid of the SC?" The market is very soft all around and even more so for this car.

If you're set on only one car, I guess the GS350 is the best compromise. But, if you plan on keeping the SC (because it's elegance or the 'soft market'), adding the RX 330/350 to the stable would be a good choice if budget allow.
