If anyone has updated their VAIS firmware and wants to sell, rent, or loan the firmware software and iPod cable iPODSL2i72, please PM me.

It seems pretty outrageous that the customer has to spend $49.99 for the updated firmware and $14.99 for the cable just to resolve problems/bugs which should never have been there in the first place.

I think if you ship the unit to them they will upgrade it free.

Tried that. Upgrade only during the warranty period. The irony is that they did not release a fireware version to fix my problem until after the warranty period.
