Have you seen the new 2010 SCs
The first body style change in a few years. A real sleek looking body design that looks sweet. According to various sources the future generation SC will be powered by the same engines as the current generation LS (meaning that the next generation SC will be called SC460?). This will mean a 4.6 liter V8 engine that delivers 380 hp@6,400 rpm. But on the other hand, this will mean 100 hp more than the current SC only has a maximum power of 280 Hp we seriously doubt that.

All I can say is WOW.

If true, I really hope it's going to be a SC500 with the 5.0 engine of the 600hL rather than a SC460.
The ^^ rendering looks pretty good to me.
Oh, and the 4-stage hardtop of the LF-C concept please, rather than the relatively lame one of the IS250/350C.

And I presume they are wrong. At MSRP of $65K+ the car needs to look good in the luxo market, pulling up to valet parking at the country club. Too sporty and you scare off that end of the market (which has the bucks to spend). Just my two cents but I think TopSpeed's guess is way too aggressive.

I Just got the new 2009 sc 430 brochure from lexus . It says 2009 sc430 . Not much has changed if any. They mention over 100 voice commands . Not sure what they mean.

my photoshop is a little sloppy. but here's what it might look like without a fugly watermark. and in a couple different colors.
personally, i don't think it's too aggressive. the only major change is the front end. and i think lexus' target market has changed slightly in the past 10 years. someone in their 50-60s today has a little different mindset than someone that age a decade ago. they would have been around 30 in the 80s. so i think they'd go for something a little flashier.

Doesn't it make more sense for Lexus to cancel the SC? The IS convertible from a marketing standpoint seems to fill the demo that the SC caters to (pricing & options). The V8 is obviously not available but the "F" model does. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see a new SC but I can't see how the current auto market could possibly support the volume needed to legitimize the investment to bring a new model like this to market. Has anyone else found any other sources with more details?
