TRD Wheel question.....
My 2002 SC430 has chrome TRD wheels which were dealer installed when the car was almost new. Two of them are slightly out of round, and one of those has a hairline crack that causes the tire to slowly lose air. This rim is no longer available from TRD. My local America's Tire dealer, who I trust, says the crack can be welded by a wheel repair shop but that the out of round problem cannot be fixed since only the rims can be straightened and the problem is not in the rims. This is my wife's car, and she is afraid that any repair might result in rims that are "unsafe", and that we should get new rims.
Have any of you had success in repairing rims?
Should I just get new wheels? (My wife likes BBS, but they are $$$$)
What could I sell the two good wheels for? They are in excellent condition. I looked in the classified Forum but did not see any of these listed.
Thanks,
Bill

Get new wheels. If your car has two out of round wheels and one cracked one, you guys need cheap wheels that you can replace once in awhile without going broke. No offense but sinking big money into wheels and then beating them to pieces doesn't make much sense. There are lots of decent good looking wheels for reasonble prices.
Good Luck.
Good Luck.
