Default Powerchip = 30hp and 33lb torque

Powerchip = 30hp and 33lb torque approx $1400 US

http://www.powerchipgroup.com/datasheets/1/Lex0010.pdf

Seems quite reasonably priced compared to the MHP one in development.

Note this is an Australian ecu upgrade though.

Your Lexus SC430 4.3 uses an ECU which features an embedded processor rather than a normal chip or EPROM which means that your car does not use a chip that can be modified. The Powerchip upgrade for your car is an additional computer which alters the ignition timing and fuel mixtures of the vehicle in the same way as a normal chip style upgrade. The Powerchip computer is infinately reprogrammable in the future. Installation takes about 1 hour and can be performed by a Powerchip Authorised Fitter. We have authorized fitters in most areas. Please enquire at the time of order for your nearest fitting station.

In standard form, the SC430 4.3 produces 208 kW and 417 Nm.

Powerchip has a range of chips to suit your car, which can increase it's power to between 224 kW and 230 kW, and it's torque to between 450 Nm and 462 Nm.

The price of the Powerchip is AUD $1,990.00.

I would be warry in case they make adjustments to the ECU that may negatively affect emissions. I had a full custom ECU tune on my G35 and it worked well. Then again I got rid of the car before I had to pass smog test. The car had racing cats on it that were made for off road use only. I didnt give a damn. The new owner will have to deal with it,

I8ABMR this is a standalone so when you need to do an emissions test in theory you should just be able to disconect it. If you need to that is.

Gamma have you been reading the huge thread in the IS-F forum?

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...breakdown.html

MHP are developing an ECU flash that looks very promising. But even so I dont think they are getting as much gains as this one in the 5L engine.

Theres a couple of GS430 owners who said they would test the MHP one, will be interesting to see what they get. I think MHP can flash any ECU which is better for me as I have the Japanese ECU.

Also MHP can tweak the TCU.

Might as well get a AEM EMS, or if staying piggy back, the Greddy E-Manage... The Greddy is significantly cheaper...

Comparing PC tuning to ours is like comparing Days Inn to the Four Seasons.

We don't pry open, remove, flash and resolder hardware--this leads to ECU failure more often than not.

Their software/hardware is a joke compared to ours, they don't have the ability to do TCUs at all (or ECUs to our level) and they never meet their advertised power/tq claims.

Check out the W204 Forum on www.mbworld.org to see their C63 results. The same tunes that net us 64rw net them 0, 3, 6, and 10rw and they can't do the newest 128 encrypted boxes.

Like I said when we first signed on, we expect others to follow, but none have our ability, experience, or equipment.

Also our ECU only tuning for IS-Fs and GS/LS430s (which would still bury the above 10x over) is $2000 by itself. TCUs are $2500 by themselves since they take longer to do.

Whats the difference between ECU and TCU tuning? Whats involved in the install? Im all the way in New Orleans. Would you need me to mail you my ecu? What kind of gains should I expect?

ECU= Engine

TCU= Trans

Yes, you ship us both control units, only we flash them through the drives, we don't pull them apart and attempt to resolder dozens of flimsy prongs.

No one else in the world does TCU for the vehicles that we do including Lexi/Toyota. We can raise converter speed, increase line pressure, quicken up/downshifts, eliminate 80% of adaptive learning, sharpen throttle response, raise shift points, and eliminate TCU only tq management.

Sorry, I didn't catch it, what kind of car do you have? If it's a GS430 we have an ECU/TCU on its way in already. Independant 3rd party pre/post tune dyno results will be available in 2 weeks or less.

Thanks!

You guys want $2000 to tune a ECU? This is a one time thing?

For $2000, there are a lot more cost efficient ways to do all of this, and get to change the tune as needed for different fuels and climates... Hell, for under $3000, you could do a full standalone EMS with all the goodies...

How much of the factory componentry and drivability do you lose with a standalone? Exactly.

$2000 is list price for an IS-F/GS/LS430 ECU only.

We've used FAST, Big Stuff III, and a host of other speed density based aftermarket engine control software but none of it compares to the factory ECU in terms of everyday use/drivability/reliability.

They are identical so no issues whatsoever, yes the price is the same.

Thanks
