no climate control with top up?
a/c works with top up, but only when set at 65 degress. at 66 the heat goes on. so the climate control is obviously screwed up. thought it could be the temp sensor.
but hears the thing: with the top down the climate control works perfectly. as I increase the temp, the air blows progressively warmer, but when I put the top up, goes back to a/c at 65 and full heat at 66 and above.
so what about the top going up disconnects the climate control?
thoughts?
thanks,
rick jaffe

Hi Rick.
I'm 99% sure this problem has never been posted. (I've been around this forum since 2002.)
Right off the bat, this sounds like something I'd only let a dealer handle. The only thing I'd try, is resetting your ECU to see (hopefully) if there's a temporary computer gremlin causing the problem.
Both the stereo and heating/cooling system automatically switch their settings when the roof is raised or lowered. And it sounds like your heating/cooling system is switching incorrectly, probably due to a faulty sensor or computer mishap.
Try resetting the ECU, and if that doesn't work, you should probably let a dealership look at it.
