Who said anything about priorities being on the car? Thats why i posted this in the first place.. right cause i was trying to figure out how yall afford all that

Besides.. you obiously have to put the car in one of the top five priorites.. cause you cant support your family without money.. and without a job you cant get money.. and you need some sort of transportation like a "car" to get to your job.. to earn that money

I don't think anybody is doubting the need to have a car in this day and age, but rather the choice that you picked.
Anyway, this thread has gone askew from the original post.

Search , search, search for good deals!

My SC430 mainly sits in the garage I do a couple thousand miles per year in her. 90% of the time I used my beater or public transport.

I could'nt defend any reason to own an SC430 its a totally impractical car in every way. Its just a fun toy for when the sun is out.

Your 23 save, buy a fat house. When I was your age I drove a $100 car. But I was semi-retired at 30. Now I just do a few hours work at home and chill out with the family.

i suggest figuring out how to make more money.

start an online business perhaps? i know a guy who sells tp online and he makes 40k a year just from that side business. i know another guy who has a small but growing online car forum like this one and he makes an extra 4-5k a year. it's not a ton but certainly enough to pay the car payments on the sc430...

This is how I did it...

I waited till I was much older than 23 and made much more money a year than 30 or 40 g's. I also divorced my money hungry wife that blew away her entire paycheck even after I found out she owed tens of thousands of dollars, money she owed BEFORE we married and BEFORE I even knew her. I payed off her debt and she was still imature with her concepts of finance.

You think some people here might be "sarcastic" about your wife possibly leaving you, but it's not funy and could be a reality. Luckily I don't have kids. You do.

The answer to your question only requires common sense. So I hope this thread you created is just a joke.

Here's the EASY way that I did it:

A. Graduated from college
B. Got a good job
C. Worked for 25 years
D. Ran my own business for 5 years
E. Bought an SC430

See you in 30 years or so...

OK guys, I think enough advice has been gathered in this thread to give the OP some perspective.
