Default Looking to buy a CPO 2005 SC, 65,xxx. ???

We are going to look at an 05' SC with 65,000 from a lexus dealer. It is Certified Pre-Owned which makes me feel very safe. What do you guys think of this purchase. They want around $24,000. I could not think of a BETTER group of awesome car enthusiast then you guys!! We are picking it up on Saturday morning.

That sounds like about the right price for that year with those miles. I bought a few months ago a 2005 with around 17K miles on it for $30K.
What color ext/int are you getting? Post up some pics after you get it.

Default Thanks a bunch!

It is silver with the light tan interior. My fiance wanted a black/black one but i just can't see passing up the certification. It makes me nervous buying an expense car from a fly by night car lot. But i will definetly post pics tomorrow. Thanks again.

It is unusal that a fly-by-night car lot would have this car. I'm hoping you've done the CarFax research to make sure no big accidents. But you will love the car, especially with the top down.

It is actually at a Lexus dealership. I am nervous about buying one from a little (corner) lot. You never know if their honest or if they ducktaped the tranny together. I have seem a car lot do this before. They used duck tape and wrapped it around the tranny to stop it from leaking. A quick fix! Thanks for the help

I would look around for a 2006. A lot of people here prefer that look to the 02 - 05 version. Best wishes. I have a 03 and wish I had purchased a 2006+

If you search the Midwest area for 2006 SCs you can find a couple w somewhat less mileage and not much more $$$. If you can get into an '06 model for close to the same price, it's a no brainer.

If you do not mine telling me...what Dealer Ship, City and State your buying from. I am looking for one for my wife too. I am trying to find a 2006, because of the:6 speed auto transmission, not 5. Led tail lights, upgraded drive lights, hands free blue tooth phone and Nav, upgraded Navigation Menus & functions, and airbags (knee bags I think). Hope I did not miss any...

Please correct me If I said something inaccurate. Good luck with you new SC.
