OK, was that guy actually...

- Driving
- Entering Destination Info
- AND -
-holding a video camera to shoot that video

at the same time?

Also to note: He does the override from the DVD menu. Yup, that works fine...while you're sitting still. The "DVD" button is greyed out while you're moving so, this technique will not work if you decide you need to override the system but you're already moving.

However, you can do the exact same sequence on the Language/"I Agree" screen.

So, if you haven't already hit the "I Agree" button, do the sequence to get to the hidden menu, and press-and-hold the Override button. However, you still have to "Agree" to the legaleze in order to use the Nav system so, press the hard "Info" button, press the "Language" icon, press "I Agree", and you're gravy.

If you're moving and you've already "Agreed"...and wish to invoke the override capability, press the hard "Info" button, press the "Language" icon, and do the hidden button sequence as shown in the video. Again, once you've activated the override feature, you have to agree to the legaleze. So, press the hard "Info" button (again), press the "Language" icon (again), press "I Agree" (again), and you're gravy (again).

Unfortunately not, the override only let's you use the navigation system completely while still driving. but when you turn off the car it resets it self.. pretty big PITA if you ask me.

No, but the VAIS iPod integration unit does as a bonus feature.

How did you get your phone numbers manually into the one-touch directory? I have tried with engine on and off, cell phone on and off -- with no luck. Your help will greatly be appreciated.

My car is a 2005. I believe that you have to first enter the numbers into the cars address book . [ Either by using an approved cell phone that can up upload the contacts one at a time in my case or else manually entering the phone numbers. Once your numbers are in the cars address book then you can select which phone numbers you want set up on one touch dial.

I have an I phone 3g and you cant upload your contacts at all with this phone. I keep a motorola razor in the glove box [ no sim card ] I just key in the numbers and then I can upload one at a time any contacts i want to my cars address book.

A couple of great points I'd like to reiterate here...

Save your old cell phones like circa 2005, 2004, whatever and load your SIM from your iPhone to your old phone (Razor, etc) and use to load the contacts onto your 2005+ SC. That might work!!!! Def doesn't on an iPhone

The Vais unit's best feature is the Welcome Screen "I agree" bypass! It's worth the cost of the unit just for that...the inconvenience, the hassle, the wear and tear on the screen, etc etc etc. What a JOY that was to find that out!!

Just reviewed how I can try to stop the antenna to adjust.

Push FM and DISC.
