Uhhh yeah, me too! ![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Straps are fastened, trust me. I agree someone careless could easily overlook not having the snaps secured. Perhaps because I've actually used my rear seat belts (four year old son) in both SC's that the belts have naturally stretched just enough not to be tight?
I drove a used 2003 SC one time that the previous owner had let the sun cook the interior-must have left the top down forever, and the rear belts were almost baked into the seats!
What I am simply talking about is even with the leather strap secured the upper part of the belt that houses the fastener still makes noise with the fastener hitting the seat. If you tuck the fastener into the leather strap securely, it won't do it.

It seems as though we have the same vehicle, 2003/black/ecru...I just bought mine last September, and it is tucked away till spring comes, but I want to get an upgrade to my navigation system, and a set of "spyder" wheels once spring comes. Have you upgraded your navigation system?

Hi Welcome to the forum. Mine ia a 2005 PB . Mine is also tucked away till better weather.
I never upgraded the navigation disk because If you do you lose the ability to override the navigation and be able to input new destinations while moving.
I have modded my car as my signature shows. Not much more to do.
I am in Merion Pa where in PA are you.

Your 2003 nav system is different from mrblister's. His is a Gen 4 and yours is Gen 3. For him the override "went away" after about 2007. If the override is important to you, you should check with a Gen 3 owner who's upgraded to be certain, but I believe the override may still be in the upgrade discs for your system. I have a 2002 SC which uses the Gen 2 / Gen 3 data discs and I can tell you that as late as 2009 data (v9.1) the upgrade still works fine.

Looking through the manual for my wife's new RX350, I noticed a listing for the automatic transmission lock override button. Then I found it in my SC430 manual, too.
It's that little slotted cover near the shifter.
If you can't take the car out of park, even with the brakes on, just slip a flat-blade screwdriver in the slot, pull the cover off and push the button inside while moving the shifter. That's all.
Some days, I learn something.

I am in Pittsburgh. I really dislike all the old info. I have had little chance to use it, but with all the new construction, I would be nice to have more current info, but would prefer to keep the override option.

As Habious confirms in post #130 you can buy the latest nav system upgrade (10.1) and still have the override. Your dealer should charge you about $199 for it.
