Been thinking about that headlight mod, how much light does it cut down, and what kind of film did you use? Thanks.
They're actually lightly painted on the inside of the plastic cover. they appear to be quite dark , it's because the housing of the headlights were painted black as well.
So, I don't see much cut down on brightness; but the beam does look a bit scattered when compare to a clear cover one. though, I'm not sure how much it'll correlate to the film situation.
Just had a nice clean wash. An updated photo w/red-out tails and 20% tint all around.

Tailights look real good!
A nice alternative to replacing it with the $1400 or so it cost just for the parts of the 06+ lights. Where is the tint placed? Inside or on the outside of the glass?
I would think that if on the outside, it would just fall off after it rains or gets washed. And even if it doesn't fall off, it would scuff and dull it.
The film is pretty high quality, I guess time will tell. After the wash and dry there was nothing different about them. The tint wraps completely around the tail light so I guess that keeps it more in tact.

Your thoughts?
i've had it on for a year. no bubbling or peeling. it's heavier than window tint. it's a little different type of material. i haven't had any scratches. the best advice i can give is don't spray it with a high pressure washer at close range. and when you dry your car, gently use a microfiber cloth.

Sounds good to me. And the cost must be right too
So where do i go about purcahsing this tint? What exactly is the item called?
