What do you call the lights in the rear bumper? And why is that a requirement in the UK or Europe?

This is a very hot thread. The SC430 looks as hot modded as it looks weird stock.
Always wished they had enough interior room for us big guys.

I think those are rear fog lights. Is that right?? I've seen them while in Europe and are actually helpful.

Nice numberplate 8Mile. And the most toys text are cool too :-)

And year the lights are fig lights. i'm going to remove those on my SC and get it more clean. i might fit some extra fog led light inside the taillights though i hardly ever use the fog light.

Hi Steve

First as i said love the way you styled your car, not too much but....
Pit Bull, I will agree with you that I had not a clue who he is but with adult children they soon informed me and what message they thought it woluld be on my numberplate, thanks Alex and Josefine.
I think it is the "Swedish" light that cheats, its Smoky Granite Mica (1G0).

Mandyfig, the lights on my rear bumber is correct as huy 33 wrote, "fog lights". Well its handy too use them after a wet night at the Pub, seriously we use them rearly, but when its snowing a lot, it makes it easier to see cars in front of you.
And I think it has something to do whith the EU and safety.
Rollaboy Thanks

Hi Mandy

Yes, the lights in the rear bumber of Euro SC's are fog lights. All cars in the UK and probably most of Europe have to have a high output rear foglight by law.
I made clear covers for mine and used red LED bulbs.
You can take them out and make a clean bumper and use one of the reversing lights as a fog light as Aquanuke has done.

Best regards

Hi Staffan

Thanks for the comments, everything I have done to my car is reversible. I still have all the stock parts that I have changed out.

So you are from a similar generation then........Pit Bulls are dogs.

Still don't think that colour was sold in the UK, as I have never seen one, but then again I hardly ever see another anyway. Only 2000 were ever sold in the UK. How many are there in Sweden?

Best regards
Steve

Hi Chris

Great to hear from you again, have you been out of the country????

Would be great for the three of us to meet up again for a photo shoot, I'm up for it before winter sets in if we can arrange it.

Best regards

Hi Rollaboy

You should look up Aquanukes pictures, they are fantastic. His car is amazing.

There are quite a few in this thread and a lot from our meet at the Ace Cafe in the thread below.
