Have any of you HAD to take your SC to a Toyota dealer for service or parts regardless of the reason?
One of the LEXUS Service writers told me last week that in the event the SC is disabled on the road and there is not a LEXUS dealer around to get the car to the nearest TOYOTA dealer and they can work on the SC .
I found this strange unless they mean leave it there and the dealer will get the emergency parts from Lexus.
Any thoughts or comments on this would be appreciated.

Not me, but I did know of someone who when I lived in Mexico City had an SC430 and had to do exactly that because there was no Lexus in the entire country, but the entire situation worked out well for him though he had to wait just a few days while some parts came down from the U.S., warranty was covered given the situation though it took just a bit of paperwork to do it.

When I bought my new rims and tires with the TPMS my Lexus dealer wanted $350-$400 to program the 4 tire pressure sensors to my car. I took my car to a Toyota dealer near where I work and they programmed the TPMS to my car for $95. Big savings at the Toyota dealer. And a oil change at Lexus was $54 were Toyota does it for $29.95.
