Default wheels + tires + weight + width

I'm replacing my 18inch stock runflats with something else.

Ive been doing some reading and it seems that the wider the tire, the better the handling, and the lighter the tire the better the acceleration.

From what I understand, carbon wheels are available though expensive. Ive read about weds sport dry carbon wheel, which weigh about 6 pounds each. Im sure the difference in acceleration for them vs normal wheels (weighing around 26 pounds, no?) would be huge. They run for around 10-12k for the set.

Are there any other options for light wheels?

Also, what are the effects of having staggered tires on accelerate and handling? I mean, Is it just for show?

thanks again guys

i would think you'd get more bang for your buck doing headers and exhaust than dropping 10+ grand on wheels. the next lightest wheels would probably be aluminum.
