Smile Headlight Conversion in Northern VA Area

Hey everyone,
I'm looking to change the front lights to my 2002 SC. I have already purchased the 06-09+ headlights with needed parts and I am looking to take the next step.
I wanted to know

1) Has anyone one in NOVA have them professionally changed and what cost?

2) Has anyone done it themselves and how labor intensive is it?

3) If you have done it yourself. Would you be willing to do it for me at a price TBD (money or alcohol, your choice )

Thanks in advance guys!

When you say you have all the parts, what does that mean?

Are you including the 06 bumper? I have done the swap and it's really not too bad.

Disconnect battery
Remove front bumper
Disconnect lights
Remove leveling motors From 02 lights
Swap into 06 lights
Make sure you have the proper bulbs
I think some people swap out turn signals or something(talwang knows)
Reconnect and place bumper back on.

I'm going to change out the DRL today do the bumper will have to come off.

If you want pics, let me know.

I'd love to see pics of the bumper removal/install. I've studied how to do it but the pics would really help me feel better when I tackle the job in a couple weeks, if you don't mind.....

You will need:

10mm socket &ratchet (3/8 or 1/4 drive will work)
flathead screwdriver
philips screwdriver

All the bolts are 10mm, so that is pretty easy.

Take off the grill 3 bolts
unscrew the plastic screws with the philips head ( these can strip out very easy)

Now you have removed all the top screws and bolts... 7 total

Next, turn the steering wheel either left or right all the way. T

Take the flathead screwdriver and pull back on inner fender like I've shown above.

There is a 10mm bolt there. Do the same on the other side.

Now for the bolts underneath. Find something to lay on and I think there is around 9 or 10 10mm bolts.

All thats left is disconnecting the fogs and side marker. The only thing I dont remember is the headlight washer since I disconnected mine last year.

If I missing any steps someone chime in.

Accordign to some the 02-05 bumper fits the 2006+ lights with some light modification...

So when I said I had all the parts, I was toalking headlights, bulbs etc.

Then you are ahead of the game. No mods needed to make 02 bumper fit.

I did the headlight conversion today and I am getting a new humming sound(sounds like something about to break)? Could it be from the new ballasts? Also, I cant seem to properly align the front bumper. Any ideas or tricks?

Are the self leveling motors working properly? I usually hear a noise coming from mine when they are initially adjusting their level, and if they were reinstalled improperly they might be making the noise.
