Default Who says a real spare won't fit

Hi Fellow Sc Drivers
I plan on driving my sc across country in the near future, a real spare would provide that extra peice of mind on such a journey. I just measured my trunk and you know what, 18 x 8 oem will fit with room to spare.I know its a tossup, where do you put the baggage, couple of nice leather bags would be nice.My next step is to wrap my spare ,in a leather carrying case with the portable micro jack and lug nut wrench in the center of the wheel to conserve space. Then I plan on taking the bottom of the back seat out so I can carry the spare there with the top down, when I arrive in FLA.Time to toss the scizzor jack, lexus lug nut wrench and engine pulling hooks, maybe I'll keep them but I think their really just something else to clutter up already small trunk space, and they work like sh%%. If you haven't seen the micro jack it looks like a handy little item, plugs into the lighter and uses a wireless to operate. 12volt products has special for 159.00 for jack and lug wrench that attaches on twwo lug nuts at once to increase torque.

"fit with room to spare"

I think the point is fit and put the top down. Not gonna do that with a full size spare in the trunk!!

My question to all you guys buying spare tire kits, is where are you going to put your full size flat tire when the time comes? Too expensive to ditch the rims, too dirty to put in the back seat.

who said stock wheel don't fit in the trunk? i have done it so many times on long trips when we had the sc430. enough space to put the wheel and also all the baggage. of course with the top down the trunk is useless, but with the top up the trunk is more than capable

I bring put the spare on a giant lawn bag either in the trunk or back seat. I'd use the same bag under/around the full sized wheel if I ever needed to.
