Thanks to some divine intervention by the gods of Hertz when traveling this weekend in CA I found a 350Z in my space in the Hertz garage at SFO. I thought I'd share my experience... The Z car had PLENTY of giddy up, handled well and the growl out of the exhaust made me think that this is what driving a sports coupe was all about. It was a fun ride and a whole lot better than the Ford Focus I was expecting... BUT... upon returning to Dulles and getting into my car I quickly realized what a superior car the 430 is. I'm telling you its like flirting with the hot chick over the weekend and then realizing how smokin' hot your wife really is. I LOVE this car!

Yes, I agree, I had my sc430 for about a month now and I still love it, before I bought my sc430, I was looking at 350z`s but after seeing the inside of a 350z I was totaly turned off, everything was cheap plastic. Even when I was looking at G35`s I wasnt that impressed either, mind you that was going to be my 2nd choice, again, cheap plastic interior....

With equal mods, the VR38DETT makes more power then the RB26DETT everywhere under the power and torque curve. The RB is pretty weak down low, but it is smoother though.

Nissan considered doing that, but decided not to at the end. I agreed it would be cool:

I owned 2 of those RB26DETT, a 01' and 02' R34 GTR. They were very cool for that era, and I love the sounds of the inline 6. But the new VQ/VR V6 is superior in every way, the only thing bad with the new V6s are, they don't make the cool sounds of the inline 6. My point is, there is no reason to miss the old RB26, Nissan going with the new V6s for perfect reasons, they are better. The RB26 remain as a sweet memories![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
