You'll likely have to file a police report for the insurance company, anyway. Might as well implcate the X. Unlikely the cops will do anything, unless there is a witness. You saw her do it, right???

I Think the answer that he was trying to tell you was that you saw her do it...... That is one way to get back at her.

DAMN.........What kind of key did she use .............sorry. I have heard of worst. What does the insurance company say? Was she a register owner on the car? Will the insurance company look at it as self-inflicted? If not.....it is a good way to get a new paint job.....I guess......good luck

Bingo.....
Plus, if she called you on her cell phone, there would be a record of that call. That would give you a time stamp. Something like this - "Mr. officer, I heard some commotion at 1:30 a.m., looked out my window, and saw X, keying my car".
Problem is, you didn't call the police immdeiately, and you'll certainly be asked why you didn't.
Not that getting your car keyed is minor, but it will be seen as minor in the police's eyes, and I'd focus on getting the car repaired correctly, rather than exacting revenge on the psycho.

What a beeeeyatch. Is that Indigo Ink Pearl? I liked that color so much I used it on my own car. There's getting the cops involved or crawling into the gutter to deal with her at her own level. In this situation, I'd go with the cops.

Sorry about the key incident but I have a way of looking at it that keeps me sane.

The Lexus will be fixed........the mental scars on the person who DID the act will be there for a long time whether spouse or just a miscreant vandal and maybe forever.

Whoever did it is a sad and scarred case ..........Lexus will live to fight another day.....the person may not.

File the PD incident report and get the insurance company to do what they get paid to do and just smile and go on..............you get a new paint job afterall.
