Default Cracked wheel!

This past weekend, I noticed my low pressure light came on. I checked my R Front wheel and it was down to 24 lbs. So I figured I picked up a nail and it had a slow leak. The next day (after me putting air in it), it was down to 19 so I knew I had a problem. Took it to the tire store and they came in to tell me one of my wheels was cracked.

Took my baby to Lexus and they said, yep, it's cracked alright. And a new replacement wheel will cost you $570, plus tax and installation.

Well screw that. If I've got to pay $570 for ONE wheel, why not pay $1200 (w/center caps) and get me a set of Spider-G's?

So that's what I did. Don't she look purty in her new shoes?

Love the Spiders, and yes, she looks great. You could have gotten them for $756.00 a couple of days ago through Sewellpartsonline. Uugghh!!!

Also, I think they always have them on sale on ebay for $800.00 or so. Don't forget about Sewell. They have great prices for all sorts of things for our cars.

Arrrgh! Is right. You could've gone all day without telling me that.

But on the other hand, as I said this wasn't a planned purchase. I had to do something or my baby was down. Didn't really have a week to do shipping and all.

if it happens again to wheels you want to keep, a good wheel repair shop can fix a crack for around $100-$200.

You just made me look out the window to make sure my baby was still in the garage!!!

That 's the best looking car I've ever seen (well... second best)!

(I was going to post a picture I took at a shell station a few months ago, but I can't find it!!!)

To Jackalope & Swooopeno both machines look awsome with the spiders. What tires are youse guys (I'm from above the Mason-Dickson line) running with them. Size, type and brand. Curious cause according to Sewell's mine will be here tomorrow, and I'm not planning on running the runflats on those wheels, so I'll be looking for some tires. Hope mine will look as classy as yours. But then again you both had an advantage, starting out with black cars and I'm starting out with a white one.

The first time I ever saw the spiders, they were on a white SC. They looked great and really caught my eye.

I just put a set of Bridgestone RE960's on my car and absolutley love them! They were rated #1 in their class on Tire Rack and they really are nice! This is the third set of tires that I have had on the car and these are by far the best that I have run on in this car. They are size 245/40 18's. These are non runflats. Very smooth!

Goodyear Eagle F1's (A/S). Stock size.

Mean looking tread, quiet ride... great tires in my opinion.

Sure. Matter of fact, my plan is to get the cracked one repaired and sell them as a set. Make me an offer.
