7 mos. and 2100 miles, do I need service yet?
I'm getting mail from my dealership to bring my SC in for it's 5000 mi service. Except I only have 2100 miles on it since I saw no point in driving it if I had the top up during the winner. But the dealership is insisting that I need service at 5000mi or 5 months, whichever comes first (I got my 1000 mi done after 2.5 months). Now that warm sunny weather is here, I plan to drive it alot more, I'm thinking I'll probably get my 2nd service done in a couple months, or is that waiting too long?

I have a 2005 sc 430 I bought new . I only drive it when weather is top down. I have 6004 miles on the car . I just change oil and filter every year regardless of mileage. I use mobile 1 synthetic. The dealership sends me notices and I ignore them.

I'd run it out to 5000 miles, your car has been garaged and you're obviously not a rough driver. Use Mobile 1 and you never have to worry about the time period between changes. Of course the Lexus dealer might tell you you're abusing the car because it's effecting his bottom line!! GOOD LUCK
