Default Kinda strange, the key immobilizer failed this morning

So I have the day off and I get in my SC and the engine won't turn over. Plenty of juice, no battery issue, just won't catch. Call Lexus roadside, they tow to the dealer. Long story short, the key has malfunctioned and they order me a new one. My second SC 430, love the car, I was just bragin' to my business partner just how reliable the SC is. Murphy's law, I just never learn.

I have this problem with my TWO Master keys...they intermittently start the car. But, sometimes I have to take the key in and out of the ignition a few times to get the car to recognize the key (and turn off the blinky red light).

Luxlink (with an immobilizer key) works fine 100% of the time.

Wife's valet key works 100% of the time.

Seems weird to me that BOTH of my Master keys would have problems but, buying a new key is an expensive experiment.

The car is CPO but, when I took it to the dealer for this problem...they took one look at the car, saw the LuxLink, and said "We're not touching it".
