I have to vote for Luxury. "Laid Luxury" that is.
Cause I'm so ugly, this car has helped me get laid so many times since I bought it.

After many years in a Carrera 2 Porsche with a rough ride, loud exhaust and costly service here and there I decided life was just to short........in 02 I bought the SC and now 7 years later it is the ONLY car I have had in all my years that I actually have kept in the stable for so long.
Give me another car that runs so well at 25 or 105 and is almost hassle free of repairs and day to day niggles.......match it with a A-1 Lexus Service and loaner car and life is damm good.
As we speak Lexus is replacing my passenger seat in GoodWill mode as they felt that since the drivers seat was replaced in December the passenger cushion should at least match..............foam might have degraded over 7 years .............
Put all of these factors together and WE have a true winner all around.

I'm kind of a little of both also. I was mainly looking for a convertible when I was hunting for cars. The same calming effect that margaux01 describes affected me. So I'd guess I'm more on the luxury side than the performance side, though I do enjoy that side of it also.

Since several have put down the Vette I just had to add that my Corvette days are not over but beginning. I traded my 05 SC for an 08 Vette. The Vette is faster and rides and handles far better than the SC and for me is far more comfortable and luxurious in that it has features that the SC should have like IPOD connectivity and HUD along with all the features of the SC. I will admit though that I do love looking at the SC still. Gas mileage in the SC is a little better but I can run regular. After a year reliability has not been an issue.

Yeah, but Corvettes are all over the road. They have been around so long, nobody notices them anymore. I know I don't. Nothing at all special about them. And nothing compares to the SC's interior.
As far as iPod connectivity, I have that. It's a $7 cassette adapter and it works worderfully.
