Default Custom Tire Pressure

I now have 19" 245-35-19 all around. The factory recommends PSI of 33 for the stock 18" tires. I liked the tire pressure at 35 though with the factory size.

For those of you running 245-35-19 tires - what cold tire pressure are you at?

Thanks in advance.

34...when hot, they get up to 36

I've had some wobbling issues and front tires that are a little out of round but I only have 3k miles on them and am waiting to replace for another year. They are Dunlop Direzzos about 3 years old.

I am thinking about Nitrogen filled air...any thoughts on that?

Just thought i would add my 2 bits ,I run my 20's at 50 psi 255/35 and 275/30 .
I met with a toyo head office rep and he had a program to show what the new tire pressures are for each car and its specific tire sizes.
It showed my 98 LS400 should be at 45 psi , but tires are cheaper than my rims so i upped it by a few more pounds as the 45 is equal to the 33 with the lessened sidewall.

How can we get access to this program? I have 19' wheels with Toyo T1R Proxes 245/35 front & 285/30 rear. I'm running 35 psi in front and 35 psi in the rear. Thanks!

Default Toyo Tire Inflation Pressure Table

On the Toyo website ( http://toyotires.com/care-safety/load-inflation-tables ),

I found this link to the pdf file for tire inflation pressure:

Hi I contacted Toyo for there recomendations for the following set up and they could not give me an answer as to what air pressure they would reccomend. I bought the rims and the tires on ebay and they came off of a 2005 sc430 the guy had just put them on and an opportunity came to buy a Mercedes 550 on the cheap so he sold the car with the original; run flats and then sold me his staggered set up rims, wheels. hub centric adapters and the tires had the tpms allready in them and mounted and balanced. It was a win win deal for me. I paid 1200.00 for all 4 and the tires had 472 miles on them . When I first bought them I measured the thread depth it was 10/32. That is the correct depth for new tires.

DONZ PRO GENOVESE 20 X 10 HYPER SILVER [ PAINTED ]
REAR TIRES ARE TOY0 PROXIES T1-S 275/30ZR20

DONZ PRO GENOVESE 20 X 8.5 HYPER SILVER [ PAINTED ]
FRONT TIRES ARE TOYO PROXIES T1-S 245/35ZR20

When I called Toyo today they have discontinued the T1-S and are using the TR-1. They dont have the same size configeration in the TR-! as I have with the T1-S.

The new TR-1 staggered fitment is 255/30/20 front 41 lbs of air
the new TR=1 staggered fitment is 265/30/20 rear 38 lbs of air

Since my fronts are 245/35ZR20 smaller then the above fitment by 10
Since my rears are 275/30ZR20 larger then the above fitment by 10

What air pressure should I run my T1-S at. Suspension is stock except for daizen front and rear and toms tower bar. Car is not lowered and the rest of suspension is OEM.

I would really like to know what air pressure I should use .Any one got some idea

The T1-R has a stronger sidewall so i would up the pressures by 5 on each to compensate .

i've never heard of tires going out of round. are you sure you didn't bend a wheel? it's possible to bend the inside edge, which isn't as noticeable to the eye. but every bit as annoying.

No, I didn't bend. My car sits a lot though...6k miles in three years. I drive it at least once or twice a week.

I am thinking about new tires if I keep her long term. The tread is fine, just a bit of a chunky ride.

ah. if your car sits for long periods, the rubber will develop hard spots. sounds like that's what happened.

Out of round happens all the time when a belt shifts , I have had that happen on a set of dunlops.

Flat spots on hard compund tires left to sit si also very common , usually the best way around it it to up the pressure a few pounds to keep it round.

I use nitrogen and it is a great product if it is installed properly by fillign and purging 3 times to get a high ratio inside the tires. Most will not do it that way so it is 80% nitrogen and 20 air . Air is made up of mostly nitrogen so it is mainly the water to be removed and the denser nitrogen particles which help reduce noise and keep from pressure changes.

If you have a softer sidewall on a t1-s then up you pressure 5 lbs more to make it stiffer.

sounds like a couple of us are low by about 5psi versus what the toyo rep stated on our 19's. I will try increasing mine as well as try nitrogen to get rid of the clunking. It's a shame about these dunlops, because I have had them before on my RX7 back in the day and got nearly 30k miles out of them! These only have less than 3k on them and having problems.

It's not like I let the car sit for weeks or even an entire week. I drive it at least twice a week...about 10-30 miles per week. Maybe it's not enough with 30 and 35 series tires?

My old RX7 tires were 225/50/16 or something like that on Dunlops so maybe because they were softer?
