Exhaust Tips
Anybody change out just the exhaust tips? I dented one today (stupid) and before I go replace it with the same, wondered if there's anything better? They look like one nut off/on for the lexus one, are aftermarket ones as easy, or are they weld? Thx!

I had two that was flattened on the bottom (one worse than the other), I just took a small ball peen hammer and kept working it until it looked pretty round again. Might try that first, if you haven't already. They appear easy to change, if that doesn't work.

I plan on looking into replacing them also. Mine have oxidized on the back half over the years. They do LOOK easy to replace, though I doubt that it is as easy as it looks.

They are very easy to remove, just one nut each. You can take the oxidation out of them with polish and some elbow grease. I moved my tips more towards the back of the car because the rear lip i have made the tips look tucked in so i decided to move them back and make it flush.

They are easy to remove, just one nut each, but it will take some muscle to pull them off. I thought they may be welded on, but found out through reading a thread on this forum they are not. I replaced one of them and bought the new one from Sewells Lexus online with our club discount. If you order one from Ebay or from somewhere else online, you may have to weld them on. I have not found an after market tip that fit the same as the originals.

The local muffler shop didn't have anything that would work because of the small size of the pipes the tips attach to. I bought the factory tips. I haven't seen anything I like as well.

It's hard to believe there's no direct bolt-on. I don't know the diameter of the stock pipes, but I'm sure one of these would work. Overall, I recommended waiting and getting a custom exhaust
