That's a great deal if you have the VIV # and check the car out with CARFAX and a lexus dealership to see it's service history. Are you buying from a used car dealer or a private party?? Does it still have run flat tires, if so you'll probably want to switch to conventional tires because the ride is so much smoother. If the car checks out, you've made a great deal !! Good Luck

That is a good deal. But do make sure the car has a clean history...

Anything under $20K is an amazing deal for any model year. Low miles too! A steal at $16K....as has been said do a thorough check on records. Good Luck! It's a great car!!

it depends what kind of condition it's in. personally, the model year wouldn't make a difference to me. if it's a year older, but in better condition, i'd buy the 2002. are you looking at them in person or online? i'd want to see the cars in person before buying. pictures can be deceptive.

What does everyone look for when going to dealer to get maintenance records, also carfax. What is meant by clean record. Is this to make sure their were no accidents. Please clarify thanks jimbo

if they had their car maintained by lexus, it will show if they had all of their scheduled maintenance performed - 10k, 25k, 50k... or whatever the milage is. it'll also show if they had and recurring issues with the car. if they had the top worked on 5 times, you'd probably want to avoid it. carfax will show if it has been in any major accidents. or if it has had flood damage. or if it's has a salvage title. personally, it wouldn't bother me if a car had been in a minor accident and repaired by a lexus certified shop. but you want to avoid salvaged cars, flood damage and anything else major.
