I have had my 2002 SC430 since it was first released. Up until a few months ago, i noticed that my antenna refuses to go down when i use a cd to play music. Normally my antenna would go up when its switched to radio, and go down when its on disk-mode. The antenna moves up right when i start my engine, and doesnt go down until i turn the engins off. Is there a DIY solution, or would i have to go to Lexus and have them take a look at it? Thanks in advance.

 

I think its just a setting. Try turning off the RDS and the antenna should go down. Hopefully its a simple fix.

 

I had a feeling it was RDS, becuase i accidentally pushed a button, i didnt know what i pressed. I have tried to turn it off, but no success. Is there a special way to shut it off? I've searched the manual, but i cant seem to find it.

EDIT: For some reason it finally shut off after push and holding it. I wonder why it didnt work before. Thanks ng8xzdt!
