Default Just bought a 2006

I am a long time Lexus owner and just today bought a 2006 SC. Smokey granite mica is the color. I think. Dark Gray. Very nice car. Only one thing missing. The little clips that hold the front mats in place. Two are missing. Any ideas as to where to pick up a couple? the only thing not working is the Homelink activity light. The Homelink works, just not the light. No big deal. I've been reading the SC430 form for about two months now and the information really helped. I sold my ES300 right away and now have the RX and the SC. Great cars.

Possibly the Toyota dealer. I have an 2008 Avalon, and I could be mistaken, but I think the same mat retainers are used for the Avalon as my SC, which is a 2002.

Congrats!! That's my year and color also. Interior? Are you near northern Virginia?
You will love this car, especially with the weather we are having this week.

Did you buy it at Charles Barker Lexus? If so he's a wonderful dealer and it must have been one of his certified creampuffs! Good luck with your new purchase and welcome to the SC forum.

Actually it was a Charles Barker certified, but I bought it from Phillips Mercedes. It was purchased from CB in April and the guy didn't like it. He traded it to Phillips for an SL550. (obviously not an even trade) Phillips wanted to unload it and I obliged.

I needed two pairs when I got my car.

My dealer had them for $4 per pair. The part is the same for all Lexus models.

I needed the same part and I was astonished how cheap they were, thought they would be at least twenty dollars in keeping with the price of Lexus mats!

Phillips also has a great reputation in Va Beach, never purchased a MB there, but the dealer has been around for 50 years. Sounds like you were treated right and your satisfied with the buying experience. Good Luck

The map lights/dome lights work. It is just the activity light for the Homelink that is not working. Do you think it could still a fuse?

I really don't care if the light works as long as the system works. It just makes it a bit more problematic to program. Thanks for the input though.

I have the EXACT same problem I had back in 2005 when I bought my 2002, which is the same problem that several on this post had. Fuse # 19 on the passenger's side kick panel is the ONLY fuse that controls the homelink, yet on that fuse it says it also controls the antenna (works fine), radio (works fine), ignition light (works fine) map lights (fine) and feet lights (fine). ??? Very strange. I can't remember what the dealer did back in 2005 but I sure hate to bring it in for something so silly already.

What was the final verdict on this problem that you guys were having? I will check out the fuse if it's easy to get to tomorrow.

I have the same car except in blue

To get more fun out the car, Id recommend turning PWR ON, VSC (vehicle stability control) OFF, and using the tiptronic shifter.

vsc detects when your wheels spin and then cuts off the gas pretty much.
