As some of you already know, I live in Santo
Domingo, Dominican Republic. I brought Lance from
Toyomoto to install his turbo kit for the IS300 and
see what he could do on my SC430 to improve its
performance. I also received via phone advise from
Mohammed of Swift Racing Technology.

The turbo installation in the IS300 took two days,
working from 8am til 5am. (the transmission, the
heads, etc had been disassembled before Lance
arrived). All the work was done in my home garage.

My SC430 modifications
- injen intake
- torque converter from Swift Racing Technology
(PI), dragon 2800 stall speed
- no cats (Lance designed an electronic simulator
for the computer so no Check Engine lights)

I asked him to fabricate a header for the SC430
since his headers for the IS300 have been so
successful.

The reason why I only obtained 245rwhp and 261 lbs
of torque is due to the air fuel ratio because in
the dyno curve I saw that it was too rich; but in the
posts of the GS400 & 430 I have seen that they
obtain similar results as mine even though they have
aftermarket catback systems and mine is stock. Also
the temperature in Santo Domingo was 85 degrees F
and 89% relative humidity.

I really want to express my gratitude to Lance for
his excellent work and to Mohammed for his
disinterested and useful advice. They are the best in
their class "make no mistake about it".

No problem cariza glad I could be of some help.. From the sounds of it the IS sounds like a killer car.. I've always thought the IS would be such a sleeper if modded the way you are doing it.. Wish I could help with the video thing but i'm sure there is someone here that can be of assistance..

With the cats removed on the SC430 how loud is the car??

Hi Ken, The sound difference is barely noticeable. When the car is idling there is a deeper sound, like a growl but very soft. The real difference in sound is the injen intake. It sounds like a Nascar car, of course softer, but I really like it a lot. Some people are more interested in detailing like wheels and stuff, but my son, Carlos Jr. (IS300) and I are more into high performance. What really makes the difference in performance is the torque converter, it is a completely different car, it jumps from start and burns the tires in first gear as long as you want.

PS Take away the run flats and you will be driving a Lexus, it is impossible to ride them in Santo Domingo.
