A mobile dent repair company is coming today to fix dings in door and L rear quarter panel. Anyone use a company like this? the dings are small but visible in the reflection. My concern is by fixing a small ding there could be worse finish problems....
thanks

I pointed out a dent (of unknown origin)in the hood of my SC430 several years ago, and the service manager said to come back Tuesday morning, because that's the day the dent guy shows up. I did, and waited while he worked on it (I did not observe) and all I can say is that the dent went away, and the charge was about $50.00.
Highly recommended, as long as the paint is not cracked.

Update: just did the dents, and they have vanished. He even compounded the areas.
By the way, what is compounding and how does the owner do this?
cost: 267

I think "compounding" is just polishing and then adding a protectant sealer, usually just wax. For good results in polishing, you should use a PC (Porter Cable) random orbit polisher. Visit www.autopia.com to learn about paint protection and how to use a PC. If you want to keep the paint on your cars looking new and free from scratches and swirl marks, a PC is a great purchase. Easy to use and produces excellent results.

I recently had a small dent removed on my car's front door (not an SC430). The guy drilled a hole on the side of the door and inserted his tool and popped out the dent. The problem is that now I have a hole on the side of the door.
Is this hole supposed to be left opened?

They usually put in a plug. Al little black rubber piece to cover the hole.

I agree.
If you get this done at the dealership or at a body shop, they will not leave a hole in the car, and certainly will not plug a hole with a plastic cap. They will fill the hole, sand it down and paint it. Of course, all this costs extra. Still, many of these dents can be removed without drilling holes, which means a much lower cost since no paint is involved.
