If the SC430 is being categorically replaced by the IS-C (until the next gen SC is revealed), is there a set date when the SC430 will stop production?

Will it be dragged into 2010?

I wonder who will get the last one...

Just put a deposit down, they will give you the last one

or sometimes, they will save the last one to put in their own museum ?

I'm hearing and reading mixed messages about the SC430. Lexus representatives deny that it is being canceled and rumor mills that either this year or next is the last year. So far, none of the new cars would be considered a replacement, as they are all in either lower price range categories or much much higher price range categories and the word I got from the Lexus reps is that they wouldn't cancel the SC430 without a replacement.

So who knows what to believe. In business, there is a corrollary that goes something like this: "never believe the rumors about a layoff until management denies it". If that holds true here, the SC430 is on the chopping block.

Most "last car produced" are put in museums, if they sell it there're usually collector items which bring big money.
