Default Anyone in the West Hartford, CT area looking

Anyone in the West Hartford, CT area looking for an SC430?

I have an '03SC Black w/ Saddle Tan leather 29,500K miles.
It looks like I will be moving to a Porsche, I have a good offer from the dealer, But if anyone might be interested please PM me.

I've had the car for 2 years, it is a certified car (don't know if that passes to a new owner), I've put 10K miles on it and it has been trouble free.

As I said the SC430 is gone. The dealer bought out the lease and I took out the Boxter.
If it helps with figuring value, yesterday I heard the dealer already sold the SC for $28K.

That's 28K for an '03 w/ 30K miles on it.

sounds like the dealer got a premium for it. but i guess that's why dealers are dealers and we aren't.

This dealer really cracked a nut! The car is worth 24k tops, hope the new owner has great luck with it!

So what was the dealer giving you for your SC430?

Default You wanted more pics

You wanted more pics, here you go.

We loved the SC but the Boxster is a blast.
We got to try a Cayman (same car hard top version) at Limerock July 4th when we took the Skip Barber Performance driving school. I was hooked. It was also the only time my kids will ever hear these words out of my mouth: "there's the Porsche go beat the crap out of it"

There is no question that the SC is a Grand Tourer and just an elegant ride. The Boxster is pure sportster. Handles like a slot car on rails, exhilirating acceleration, and a sweet 6 spd manual shift. The only thing I don't like about it is the stereo, I am looking into replacing it.

A very common view of the Boxster.

As I mentioned above, the pics of your car gave me the "itch"
I've been looking at the Boxsters and Caymans. I noticed your car is not the "S" version, and one of my main motivators is to get more performance than the SC430.
I wasn't even considering non-"S" cars, but you seem happy with the performance of yours.
I had also read the the stereo's were somewhat anemic, and you commented that you're unhappy with yours. I think there was a Bose option, and I was wondering if you considered that.

Before buying my 04 430, I considered a boxster, before I sat in one.
I'm not a big, heavy guy, but those seats are designed for a munchkin.
That said, the boxster is a real high performance beauty, if the seats fit.

Hey EJC, if the dealer paid 27k for the car and 720 for the property taxes, he certainly wound up with little profit for a 28k sale
