Default Stereo problem SC430

hello everyone, i'm new on the forums. i have a 2005 SC430, and i'm having problems with the stereo. most of the sound has COMPLETELY cut out on the driver side of the car, and lately when i ride on rough roads, the passenger side gets staticky(not a real word, static-e) and cuts in and out with the road disturbance. does that make sense what i'm saying? LOL.

anyone encounter this? i have warranty, but it would be nice if i could just fix it myself if it's just a common problem.

thanks!

Sounds (to me) like a loose connector somewhere...either behind the head unit or back in the trunk by the ML amp. Neither location is a "quick fix" to get to.

If the car was out-of-warranty, it would be worth taking the dash and/or trunk apart to check/reseat the connectors, but since the car is under warranty, the easiet solution is to take it to the dealer and let them sort it out.
