Default Air Bag Deployment

Brah Pitt's unfortunate incident made me wonder whether anyone has had their air bags deploy? If so, which ones (front, side, knee)? I've read that it sounds like an explosion and feels like a punch. But if you've been through it, tell the story and how the SC handled it.

Never been through it, but have seen a demo. Yup, definitely a BIG Bang!

Well, I've experienced an airbag before, but not on the SC.

My buddy unfortunately took a right turn too quickly, and she ran into a tree. I was on the passenger side; only the front airbag; no knee airbag.

All that I can say: going from 40 mph to 0 mph in less than a split second SUCKS! However, an airbag is better than the dash.

The airbag deploying with your torso flying at it at 40 mph is the same as a volleyball being served onto your face and chest. Yeah, it sucks. But it's better than your face hitting something harder...

Very loud POP, feels like you just got punched in the face. (In my old, totalled, ES300)
