I didn't know that was your car, I've seen that before when I was searching through YouTube videos lol very nice. I bought the PPE headers. Paul at PPE tried them on another SC for fitment so they should be direct bolt on. I'll be getting mine in a week or so and let everyone know how it turns out.
I'm glad your still on the site, from everything I read I guess you NEED to raise the engine?

The issue is getting the stock headers + heat shields off. There is so little room in there that your options are limited. The engine has about 4-5 inches of clearance between itself and the frame rails and it makes removing anything from in between a paint in the ***
I did not have to lift the engine when I had to remove the passenger side to have it re-welded. It took me about 2.5 hours to remove and reinstall, but I had decided to install the new headers without the heat shields. I'm pretty sure that with the heat shields in there you would have the same issues.
I doubt you will see any issues for the first few years, the issues start when you rack up some miles and the metal goes through a couple hundred heating and cooling cycles. It stresses the metal and the flexing of the motor also puts unneeded stress on the metal and welds of the headers.
