I got one of these off ebay:

Just search for "iphone bluetooth FM tramsmitter"

it fits very nicely next to the radio and the arm holds it in place well. It's nice that it charges the ipod/iphone too. The FM transmitter didn't sound that great for me so I'm using a cassette adapter.

i remember seeing someone had a mount for an ipod nano that mounted to the right hand side of the center console trim, near the radio. if they don't make one for the ipod video, i could pick up a nano. i liked the location on that. i bought a vaise unit and apple a/v cable, which i believe recharges the ipod. so i don't think i need a cigarette lighter mount.

does anyone have any experience with a kuda mount? this mounts to the position i'd like to use. my only worry is that the leather base shown here is a little bulky. if you click on the picture it'll give you more product shots.

i ended up getting the kuda mount. i'm using an apple AV cable that lets me charge it. the standard cable that comes with the vais doesn't charge. here's what it looks like if anyone is interested.
