Sold my 2004 SC430, now what?
This seems to be a common topic lately. I've sold my 2004 SC430 and didn't expect to be without a car so soon. I've been looking for a CLEAN 2004-2006 LS430 UL for several months and keep finding repainted ones.
My SC430 was a great car. Only had it for 18months and 6k miles, but it was mostly trouble free. These are the things that I had to do/repair while it was in my possession.
Borrowing my dad's Miata until i find my next Lexus.

- Tire developed a knot and had to replace ($150)
- Factory battery replaced ($100)
- ML door speakers repaired ($10)
- 2 oil changes ($60)
- Mirror replaced due to rock damaged mirror ($100)

What i've been finding is that the normally mono-tone paint job from the factory is hard to match when the car requires paintwork (after an accident or something). The LS430's that I've seen for sale over the last several months seem to have some minor damage and the paintjob was just not that good. One car was at a Lexus dealer and the other was at a Broker's lot (which he bought the car at the Lexus auto auction). Either way, a clean LS430 UL is hard to find. Hard to find if you're looking to spend less than $30k.
Cheers.
Cheers.
