Default 2010 SC430 now up on Lexus.com

They have pics of the Costa Azul Mica, and photoshopped '10 wheels.

I am loving the new wheels. I think I still like the Tourmalines better, but these are great standard wheels

Yeah, those are the best standard wheels ever, IMO.

Wow, it's got a backup camera now. I'd give anything to have all this, especially the backup camera, iPod auxiliary, bluetooth and satellite radio. Only thing missing is there's nothing to cool my butt on a hot Texas day.

SC 2010 includes:

color LCD display with integrated backup camera

USB and auxiliary iPod® /MP3/Windows Media® Audio (WMA) port

USB Connector: Compatible music players can be connected via a USB cable, allowing you to access and control your music through the vehicle's audio system while charging the player’s batteries.

Bluetooth® audio [11] profile for wireless integration of compatible music players with in-vehicle audio system controls

XM Radio® complimentary 90-day trial subscription

oh wow. It might be worth it to get a 2010 now. Haha. If only I had the money to upgrade from my 05.

I think the only two things they forgot were

...the cooled seats (as you mentioned)...I think this is a major oversight, considering it's a convertible!!!

...the keyless pushbutton start.

Seems like a serious technological overhaul for a car that many think is in its last year. Maybe it isn't......

Maybe, although it seems like the only overhaul is in the audio, which they can use in other models.

If they added adaptive cruise, I'd be jeolous. Looks like everything they have added for 2010 can be done aftermarket.

Seems like it may go out with a bang. Doubt if they would do much more, most of the upgrade was in the NAV. No push button, adaptive cruise, never mind it never made it to the SC460. I would guess this is it. Still, may be the best SC 430 produced, I really like those wheels. Pretty good run since 2002 and sales have been very light. My bet is this will be the last year.

Great color combinations this year, but There is definitely a long list of things that should be added to this car, not even things that are that out there, things that other cars cheaper than it have. Adaptive cruise control, cooled seats, pushbutton start. That don't seem like they would be that hard to add, and just the fact that those options are available would make the car seem a lot more advanced. And even some things that could have been removed, like the retractable antennae!?! Who knows hopefully this car has a few more years in it.

If Lexus revises the SC430's bumpers/headlights/taillights (perhaps with a slight touch of F elements), updates its engine (400hp+ to be competitive), adds a few more technological functions as mentioned in this thread and resorts to lots of LEDs, I think the design is actually capable of surviving today's shrinking market for a few more years.

Unlike the mainstream sedans and coupes, I believe a low production volume, nice niche convertible/roadster (even if it's not an exotic) is able to successfully carry on its design for many years in certain situation. The Miata is a very good example.

One of the most iconic MB SLs had the same design from 1990 to 2002. I am sure the SC430 can do the same if Lexus pays enough attention to it.

I know there are more than a few people here who wish the SC430 would just die for good. I, on the other hand am a big fan of this car.

Jon
