I was wondering who out there has had the bushings replaced once, twice or even three times?

It seems to be a problem area for the early models. I have posted about this before and have listed my part number from the work order and confirmed that I don't have the current part numbers.

My dealer won't replace them again till the noise starts occurring again and as of right now its all quiet back there but I am interested to hear about others experience.

My SC430 is in the shop from yesterday until tomorrow to have a few things done before the summer travel season, including the bushings replacement.

This is the first time, as I have not really noticed that much of a problem to justify a special trip to the dealer. My readings, however, indicate that the replacement takes some of the harshness out of the ride, which is fine with me.

I've had the bushings replaced three times now. The latest was with the (5227130080) latest bushings.

With the previous bushings (5227124060) the car road great for 200 miles. It was very solid. Then the bushings started to deteriorate, the residual vibration started, and then the clunking started again.

The latest bushings are clearly more flexible. So, after 600 miles there does not appear to be any significant deterioration. Unfortunately, the residual vibration is there, and there is little feeling of stability at highway speed.

DropTop, if your car is still solid, I would keep what you have and get rid of the runflats.

I had the latest bushings installed and I would say in the 600 miles since installation the ride has deteriorated by about 50% from how good it felt when I drove out of the service department (so maybe I should be happy its still 50% better than originals).

It will be interesting to see if deterioration continues...it certainly is better than when car was new.

Don't really want to keep doing this.

I hope that the rest of you are complaining to your dealer and calling/writing to Lexus Customer Service. I have, and they do not seem to see this as a serious issue. Perhaps with a few more calls, they will.
