fyi. just talked to eric @ ttc. the turbo kit REALLY doesnt fit the SC430 because of clearance issues, but he was good to talk to. i recommend it!
he might be able to mock up manifolds but it would be very very difficult to buy a kit with even the smallest turbos.

soooo.... any other suggestions?

since you're looking to stay cheap, you could go with NOS. it's not as sexy and a turbo or supercharger. but it's a hell of a lot cheaper.

SRT and LMS have both done supercharged SC430s. The member who had the SRT setup recommended just doing nitrous instead of the SC even though he loved the sound - thought the cost / benefit and ease of install would have had him keep the Zex kit.

I thought the consensus was that these motors need internals beefed up to handle a bottle??

You should be ok with 150 shot, which is what weeny had and a couple of others here. But I would def. use a progressive controller.

But if it was me I would do internals

The SC430 has skinny rods. I'd stay below 9-10 psi of boost with either turbo or supercharger. If you intend to go more, you can check with www.lextreme.com and he has all rods & pistons available for the V8 Toyota families. You can use stock pistons with around 14-15 psi. But once the engine is open up, why not go all out and spend $1K more for the pistons to be safe. At this point, you'll need to rebuild/upgrade the auto tranny, too.

Getting back to the turbo topic, I'm sure you'll need to modify the engine's front to gain clearance for the turbo system. The first thing coming to mind is to swap to the electric fans. Then perhaps moving or clamps other hoses to 1 side. To keep the cost down, you can run a single turbo system for simplicity and cost. You can keep 1 stock manifold (such as the driver side), build a runner and merge it to custom manifold on the passender side. Then build a runner to the front where you mount the turbo to. It's simple as that.

langsdale, other then nitrous you might also consider Eric's cams. Hes stated in the past with the usual bolt ons could be good for 90+ hp. Which is far better value then the Blitz and Toms offerings.

Cams only won't ever make that many hp. You'll need a complete headers, exhaust system, cold air intake system, a good ECU with tuning to take advantage of those bolt-ons. The tuning is the key to power. Tuning will make the engine works best along with those bolt-ons. Otherwise, the bolt-ons will yield minimal gains.
